Latitude 10 encourages guests to offset the CO2 emissions of their vacation. The Climate Change Allies Program will plant a tree (native or in danger of extinction) in your name. Your contribution will go towards sponsoring the planting and caring for one tree, which will fix at least one CO2 ton, enough to compensate local transportation and complete lodging for 14 days. Each person participating will get a certification and an e-mail notification so they can locate their tree from an Internet platform, as each tree will be granted a chip after it has reached the age of 6 months.
The funds are administered through the Corcovado Foundation and the Climate Change Allies Program, a Program that has worked to build private-public alliances, with the goal of bringing together strengths towards a common goal: TAKE ACTION AGAINST CLIMATE CHANGE, thinking of ourselves and of the generations to come.
